Minnawarra House Family Support Program

Minnawarra House runs a wide variety of programs aimed at supporting families through social, practical and therepeautic groups. Our groups are open to residents of Armadale and the South-East Metro area. Most groups welcome people off all ages.

Food Bank
Fresh bread is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Vegetables are available occasionally at 9.45am on Tuesday mornings.
Please bring a Concession Card. Food Bank runs February to December.

Social groups
We host a weekly Coffee & Muffin Morning, and a monthly Bookclub.

Arts and Craft groups
You can learn or enhance your creative and artistic skills with our Starting a New Thread, Acrylic Painting and Creative Clay workshops. Held weekly in the mornings.

Children's groups
On Monday afternoons we have the Boys Group for boys 11-14 years old. (held in term 2)
On Tuesday afternoons we have the Girls Group for girls 12-15 years old.
On Wednesday afternoons we run the Kidz Klub group for children 7-14 years old.
On Sundays afternoons Sunshine Welfare Mission hosts the Heart of Love program, with activities for kids of all ages.

Therapeautic and Self-Development groups
We are running an The Joyful Journey group for women on Thursday afternoons.
If you are interested in Genealogy, book a session with our tutor.

We host a Seniors Computer Class, open during office hours, with a tutor available by appointment. On Mondays Lester can teach you how to grow a Bonsai tree. On Tuesday morning we have Exercise with Zoe, and on Wednesday afternoons a Chi Kung exercise group for all.
