Minnawarra House
Minnawarra House is a not-for-profit organisation, funded by the Department of Communities, operating in Armadale for more than thirty years.
We offer a variety of counselling supports and social programs designed to support the wellbeing of individuals, families, children and young people. Through counselling services, community programs, creative activities and social connection opportunities. We provide a safe and inclusive space where people can access support, build skills, strengthen relationships and engage with their local community. Our focus is on fostering resilience, connection and wellbeing for people at every stage of life.

To create a safe, inclusive and compassionate community space that supports mental wellbeing, strengthens social connection and empowers individuals and families through accessible programs, education and support services.
Our Objectives
At Minnawarra House, we aim to:

Youth & Family Counselling
- We provide a free counselling service for young people aged 12–18 years.
- Support is tailored to individual needs and may include one-on-one counselling, music therapy, and/or art therapy in a safe and supportive environment.
- We provide a counselling service to young people aged 12 – 18 years and their families.
Individual and Family Support Service
- We offer a free, compassionate counselling support for individuals and families, helping you navigate life’s challenges and build stronger family connections.
- We work with children as young as 8 years of age offering a range of therapeutic supports including 1-2-1 counselling, art therapy and music therapy options.
- This service also offers 1-2-1 individual counselling opportunities for adults including parenting support, relationship counselling and ongoing mental health support services.
Social
Programs
- Our social programs provide a welcoming space where people can belong, connect, learn and grow.
- From after-school activities for young people, yoga, bonsai, art and pottery we have a range of activities designed to bring people together, build confidence and support our community.

We acknowledge that Minnawarra House is situated on the lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. We pay our respects to their enduring and dynamic culture and the leadership of Noongar Elders past and present. The boodjar (country) on which Minnawarra House is located has, for thousands of years, been a place of community. We at Minnawarra House are proud to continue this long tradition.
